PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Tim Resmob Macan Gamalama, Polres Ternate, berhasil mengamankan satu pelaku spesialis pencurian handphone (HP)
Pelaku berinisial ID (42) itu dibekuk di kawasan Jatiland Mall, Kelurahan Gamalama, Kota Ternate, Kamis (24/2) malam lalu.
Sebelum diamankan, pelaku diketahui melancarkan aksinya dengan mencuri tiga buah HP Android dan uang tunai sebanyak Rp 300.000, tepat di halaman Perikanan Kelurahan Mangga Dua, Kecamatan Ternate Selatan, Kota Ternate.
Kasi Humas Polres Ternate, Ipda Wahyuddin mengatakan, penangkapan pelaku pencurian ini bermula ketika adanya laporan warga terkait barang elektronik (HP) yang sering hilang dicuri orang tak dikenal.
Setelah menerima laporan itu, Tim Resmob Macan Gamalama kemudian melakukan pengintaian di kawasan keramaian.
Setelah mendapati pelaku dengan gerak-gerik mencurigakan, petugas langsung membekuknya. Di tangan pelaku, petugas berhasil mengamankan barang bukti berupa dua buah HP merk Oppo A1k, Oppo A16 dan satu buah HP merk Samsung A6, serta uang tunai sebanyak Rp 300.000.
“Setelah diamankan Tim Resmob Macan Gamalama, pelaku langsung di bawa ke Mapolres Ternate untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan lebih lanjut,” ujar Wahyudin saat dikonfirmasi wartawan Nuansa Media Grup (NMG), Sabtu (26/2).
Selanjutnya, kata Wahyudin, pelaku diperiksa secara intensif dan kemudian ditetapkan sebagai tersangka.
“Dan sementara ditahan di Rutan Polres Ternate. Pasal yang disangkakan terhadap tersangka, yakni Pasal 362 KUHP, dengan ancaman hukuman paling lama 5 tahun penjara,” jelasnya menutup. (tr1/ask)
