PENAMALUT.COM, TALIABU – Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dispora) Kabupaten Pulau Taliabu segera merekrut pelajar daerah untuk tampil dalam ajang Pekan Olahraga Pelajar Daerah (Popda) ke X tingkat Provinsi Maluku Utara yang akan diselenggerakan di Bumi Fagogoru Weda, Kabupaten Halmahera Tengah, Mei 2022 mendatang.
Hal itu disampaikan Kepala Dispora Taliabu, Mansuh Mudo, kepada wartawan, Rabu (16/3).
Namum, kata dia, untuk seleksi Popda akan dilakukan setelah selesai seleksi pasukan pengibar bendera (Paskibraka) yang saat ini sedang berlangsung.
“Selesai seleksi Paskibraka baru kita lanjut seleksi popda” ujarnya.
Dikatakan Mansuh, mulai hari ini pihaknya mendatangi sekolah-sekolah untuk melakukan seleksi Paskibraka. Seleksi ini dilakukan selama beberapa hari ke depan.
Diketahui, pada tahun 2021 lalu, tim sepak bola pelajar Taliabu dalam ajang perebutan Piala Menpora di Sofifi berhasil tembus ke babak final. Sayangnya, tim Pelajar Taliabu harus puas di posisi runer up. (ysn)
