PENAMALUT.COM, TALIABU – Salah satu tradisi unik saat Ramadan adalah gendang sahur. Gendang sahur yang dilakukan sekelompok anak muda ini untuk membangunkan masyarakat makan sahur.
Tradisi gendang sahur ini dilakukan di berbagai daerah di Indonesia saat Ramadan, tidak terkecuali di Maluku Utara. Tradisi gendang sahur dilakukan di waktu 02.00 hingga 04.00 waktu setempat.
Seperti yang dilakukan pemuda Desa Pencado dan Desa Maluli, Kecamatan Taliabu Selatan, Kabupaten Taliabu.
Namun gendang sahur yang dilakukan para pemuda di Taliabu ini terbilang unik. Pasalnya, gendang sahur yang dilakukan keliling kampung dengan menyanyikan lagu daerah (kasidah) setempat diiringi gitar ini juga sekaligus penggalangan dana untuk masjid.
“Uang dari hasil gendang sahur ini kami sumbangkan ke masjid. Kita mulai gendang sahur ini pada pukul 02.00 WIT sampai 04.30 WIT,” ujar Aziz, salah satu pemuda Desa Pencado yang ikut gendang sahur.
Aziz menuturkan, gendang sahur adalah tradisi masyarakat khusunya pemuda sejak zaman dahulu hingga sekarang. Masyarak merespons dengan baik dengan kegiatan ini.
“Saya dan teman-teman melakukan gendang sehur ini masyarakat merspons baik, masyarakat juga keluar dan menyumbang melalui kotak amal yang kami bawa,” tuturnya.
Aziz bilang, uang yang dikumpulkan dari hasil gendang sahur itu diserahkan semuanya untuk keperluan masjid desa setempat.
“Setiap gendang sahur itu kita dapat uang 200 sampai 300 ribu, dan uang itu kita berikan semua di masjid,” tukas Aziz. (ysn/ask)
