PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Pengurus Himpunan Mahasiswa Ilmu Politik (Himapol), Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Muhammadiyah Maluku Utara (UMMU) periode 2022-2023, resmi dilantik, Senin (25/4) malam.
Pelantikan yang dipusatkan di Perpustakaan NBCL Kelurahan Sasa, Ternate Selatan, Kota Ternate, ini dirangkaikan dengan dialog publik. Dialog dengan tema “Pengaruh Geliat Pemilu 2024 Terhadap Jalannya Pemerintahan” itu menghadirkan sejumlah narasumber yang berkompeten pada bidangnya masing-masing.
Narasumber yang dihadirkan pada dialog itu adalah Dekan Fisip UMMU, Dr. Aji Deni, Ketua Komisi Informasi Publik Maluku Utara Azis Marsaoly, Anggota DPRD Kabupaten Pulau Morotai Fadli Djaguna, dan Sekretaris Prodi Ilmu Politik, Aswir Badjoda.
Ketua panitia kegiatan, Ardian Ludin mengatakan, pihaknya sengaja menghadirkan beberapa narasumber yang besik kelilmuannya dari ilmu politik. Tujuannya agar ada hal-hal menarik yang perlu untuk dicerna mahasiswa terkait dengan politik, terutama masalah dinamika politik lokal.
“Kaum muda terutama mahasiswa, harus benar-benar memahami politik. Baik dari teori-teorinya, maupun praktiknya. Sehingga stigma buruk tentang politik bisa diperdebatkan secara ilmiah,” katanya.
Pada kesempatan itu, Ketua Himapol UMMU, Djulfikram Isra Malayu menambahkan, mahasiswa Ilmu Politik UMMU akan terus menuangkan gagasan-gagasan politik yang kritis dan ilmiah, sebagai bentuk dari upaya untuk melakukan penyadaran politik terhadap mahasiswa maupun elemen masyarakat lainnya.
“Kita akan perkuat literasi politik, sebab politik merupakan sebuah disiplin ilmu yang wajib untuk dipelajari dan dipahami dengan baik, karena didalamnya menyangkut dengan kepentingan publik dan masa depan negeri ini,” ujarnya.
Menurutnya, setelah pelantikan ini, pihaknya bakal melakukan konsolidasi seluruh alumuni Ilmu Politik UMMU yang tersebar di berbagai kabupaten/kota di Maluku Utara. Konsolidasi ini untuk merawat dan memperkuat silaturrahim antar alumni dan juga mahasiswa Ilmu Politik.
“Insya Allah kita akan agendakan konsolidasi itu, karena ini juga bagian dari program yang diputuskan dalam musyawarah lalu,” tukasnya. (tox)
