Bagaimana tidak, disaat kenaikan harga bahan bakar minyak (BBM) di tengah konidis ekonomi terpuruk akibat pandemi Covid-19 yang belum sepenuh pulih, bukannya malah membela rakyat, lembaga wakil rakyat itu justru memilih berdiam diri.
Lihat saja, puluhan massa aksi gabungan yang mendatangi Kantor DPRD Sula untuk menyuarakan penolakan kenaikan harga BBM, justru tak menemui satupun wakil rakyat mereka.
Alhasil, aksi yang berlangsung sekitar 30 menit itu terjadi saling dorong antara massa aksi dan anggota Satpol-PP dan nyaris terjadi adu jotos.
Suwandi Kailul, salah satu massa aksi dalam orasinya menyampaikan bahwa kebijakan pemerintah menaikkan BBM ini sangat berdampak kepada masyarakat kecil, terutama nelayan dan petani. Ini karena kenaikan harga BBM tentu naik pula tariff transportasi laut, darat dan lainnya.
Pihaknya hadir di Kantor DPRD ini untuk meminta kesediaan para anggota DPRD agar menyikapi kenaikan BBM tersebut.
“Namun yang terjadi anggota DPRD justru meninggalkan kantornya tidak berpenghuni seperti ini. Ini menandakan wakil rakyat kita tidak berpihak kepada rakyat kecil. Mereka lebih mementingkan kepentingan mereka,” tandasnya.
Hingga berita ditayangkan, massa aksi telah membubarkan diri dengan tertib. (ish/ask)
