PENA – Peredaran narkoba di Maluku Utara akhir-akhir ini marak terjadi. Setelah pihak Polres Ternate dan Badan Narkotika Provinsi (BNNP) Malut berhasil mengungkap peredaran barang haram dengan jumlah yang cukup besar, kini giliran Direktorat Reserse Narkoba Polda Malut berhasil mengamankan 43 sashet narkoba jenis ganja ukuran kecil.
Pengungkapan kasus narkoba ini terjadi pada Selasa (2/2, sekira pukul 21.45 WIT malam. 43 sashet ganja itu diisi dalam botol plastik tempat minuman yang dibungkus dengan plastik lalu dilemparkan ke dalam Lapas. Belum diketahui siapa pemilik barang berbahaya ini.
Kepala Lapas Kelas IIA Ternate, Maman H mengatakan bahwa modus pelaku dengan cara melemparkan narkoba ke dalam Lapas ini sudah dilakukan beberapa kali. Pada tahun 2020 lalu pihaknya juga berhasil menggagalkan hal yang sama. “Di dalam Lapas itu ada pecandu dan pengedar. Untuk bandar nanti penyidik yang menjelaskan, ada atau tidak di Lapas,” katanya pada saat konferensi pers bersama Direktur Reserse Narkoba Polda Malut, Kombes (Pol) Try Setyadi didampingi Kabid Humas Polda Malut, Kombes (Pol) Adip Rojikan, Rabu (3/2) tadi.
Baik Lapas maupun pihak kepolisian terus berusaha dalam berkolaborasi memeberantas peredaran narkoba ini. “Saya sebagai pimpinan Lapas pasti bertanggung jawab terhadap gangguan keamanan dan ketertibaan di Lapas. Saya pastikan tidak ada narkoba di dalam Lapas,” ujarnya.
Sementara Direktur Resrerse Narkoba, Kombes (Pol) Try Setyadi mengungkapkan bahwa pengungkapan narkona ini merupakan hasil kerja sama dengan pihak Lapas Kelas IIA Ternate. “Kita menggagalkan peredaran narkoba yang seyoganya akan beredar di dalam Lapas. Tentunya Lapas maupun Rutan sangat kooperatif sekali kepada kita, apabila dikaitkan dengan permohonan bantuan penyelidikan maupun penyidikan tindak pidana,” tukasnya.
Pihaknya memaklumi untuk mengungkap kasus narkoba tidal semudah membalikan telapak tangan. Sehingga itu pihaknya akan meminta bantuan Lapas untuk mengidentifikasi napi narkoba untuk dilakukan penyelidikan. “Kita akan dalam dan meminta bantuan pihak Lapas untuk memetakan siapa-siapa napi yang di vonis karena tindak pidana narkotika jenis ganja, sehingga kita selidiki di lingkungannya,” jelasnya.
