PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Domino Tournament Gubernur Cup I 2022, yang digelar PORDI Malut resmi dibuka. Lomba domino perdana di Malut tersebut dipusatkan di Aula Asrama Haji Ternate, Kamis (18/8) malam.
Sekretaris Pengurus Provinsi (Pengprov) PORDI Malut, Sudarman Hasrat dalam sambutannya menyampaikan, selaku organisasi olahraga baru di Indonesia, PORDI Malut bertekad melakukan konsolidasi organisasi secara terstruktur dan terukur melalui pembentukan Pengurus Daerah (Pengda) PORDI dan berbagai tournament di seluruh kabupaten/kota. Selain itu juga, pembentukan pengurus kecamatan serta tingkat kelurahan dan desa di Maluku Utara.
Sudarman mengatakan, semua kegiatan yang dilakukan merupakan bagian dari mewujudkan program nasional PORDI Pusat sebagai salah satu syarat menjadi anggota KONI. Selanjutnya, kata dia, olahraga domino menjadi cabang olahraga resmi yang dilombakan pada event nasional dan internasional.
“Kami dan jajaran pengurus PORDI Malut, berupaya melaksanakan event kompetisi domino sebagai bagian dari cabang olahraga secara berjenjang. Di mulai dari tingkat desa, kecamatan hingga kabupaten. Diharapkan event kompetisi tersebut dapat melahirkan atlit-atlit berprestasi yang bisa mewakili ke kancah nasional,” ucap Sudarman.
Menurut Sudarman, lomba tersebut merupakan salah satu rangkaian memperingati HUT ke-77 Kemerdakaan RI 2022, yang diikuti 64 tim.
“Tournament Piala Gubernur akan menjadi agenda tahunan PORDI, sekaligus menjadi ajang pencarian atlit-atlit dalam menghadapi Kejurnas yang dilaksanakan pada akhir bulan ini. Bahkan pengurus Provinsi Malut mendapat kepercayaan dari Ketua Umum PB PORDI untuk menjadi tuan rumah dari salah satu event Kejurnas yang akan dilaksanakan pada awal November sampai Desember 2022,” paparnya.
Sementara, Gubernur Maluku Utara, Abdul Gani Kasuba yang diwakilkan Staf Ahli Bidang Politik Hukum dan Pemerintahan, Buhari Hamzah menuturkan, pemerintah bertanggung jawab atas pembangunan keolahragaan yang merupakan bagian dari upaya mewujudkan tujuan bernegara, yakni mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa dan memajukan kesejahteraan umum.
“Karena itu, perlu adanya komitmen kolektif, agar pembangunan keolahragaan menjadi instrumen sekaligus pendorong untuk mencapai pembangunan nasional, baik di bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, ekonomi, politik, sosial, maupun budaya,” katanya.
Domino, lanjut Buhari, adalah olahraga mengasah otak, dan merupakan olahraga yang paling bermasyarakat serta digemari semua kalangan. Karena itu, ia berharap setelah terbentuknya Pengprov PORDI Malut, patut diperjuangkan masuk dalam salah satu cabang olahraga prestasi nasional.
“Untuk menuju kesana, Pengprov PORDI harus selalu melakukan kegiatan seperti perlombaan, dan membentuk kepengurusan di semua daerah, sehingga ini menjadi lebih fokus dan terinspirasi, untuk menjadi ahli domino,” pungkasnya.
Sekadar diketahui, pembukaan ajang Domino Tournament Gubernur Cup I 2022, dibuka secara resmi oleh Gubernur Maluku Utara, yang diwakilkan Staf Ahli Bidang Politik Hukum dan Pemerintahan, Buhari Hamzah. (ano/tan)
