PENAMALUT.COM, JAKARTA – Jansen Sitindaon menolak pemilihan legislatif (Pileg) kembali menggunakan sistem proporsional tertutup (coblos lambang partai).
Jansen memberikan kuasa ke Badan Hukum dan Pengamanan Partai (BHPP) Partai Demokrat untuk menjadi pihak terkait atas permohonan yang diajukan oleh Dimas Brian Wicaksono cs dengan nomor: 114/PPU/XX/22 terhadap Undang- Undang (UU) nomor 17 tahun 2017, khususnya tentang proporsional terbuka yaitu pasal 168 ayat (2).
“Permohonan ikut sebagai pihak terkait dikarenakan kalau proporsional tertutup dikabulkan, maka pihak terkait selaku bacaleg tidak mempunyai ruang dan peluang untuk berkompetisi di dapilnya,” kata Kepala BHPP Partai Demokrat, Mehbob, Jumat (20/1).
Mehbob juga menjelaskan, jika terjadi sistem pemilu tertutup, maka rakyat tidak bisa memilih secara langsung wakil-wakil rakyatnya. Selain itu, sistem pemilu tertutup juga merupaka perampasan hak suara rakyat dalam pesta demokrasi.
Mehbob menegaskan, sistem pemilu proposional tertutup jauh dari semangat reformasi yang menghendaki demokrasi yang sehat di Indonesia.
“Bahwa sistem proporsional tertutup adalah kemunduran demokrasi dan pengkhianatan terhadap demokrasi,” ujarnya.
Kepala BHPP Partai Demokrat ini berharap, agar MK tetap konsisten terhadap putusan nomor:22/24/PPU/VI/2008 tanggal 23 Desember 2008.
Jansen Sitindaon melalui BHPP Partai Demokrat telah mendaftarkan diri sebagai pihak terkait via online di MK.
“Bahwa kami telah mendaftar via online di Mahkamah Konstitusi No 8/PAN.ONLINE/2023 tertanggal 20 Januari 2023,” tandasnya. (gon/tan)
