PENA – Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Jailolo, Kabupaten Halmahera Barat, masih kekurangan tenaga dokter mata.
Ini disampaikan Direktur RSUD Jailolo, Syafrullah Radjilun, saat dikonfirmasi wartawan, Rabu (17/3).
Pihaknya saat ini mengupayakan untuk mendatangkan dokter mata dari luar daerah. Sebab di Kabupaten Halbar sendiri juga sangat kekurangan untuk SDM dokter, khususnya dokter mata.
Ia bilang, dokter yang biasanya didatangkan itu dari dari Center Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM). Sayangnya, dengan kondisi covid ink Center UGM belum bisa menempatkan dokter mata di RSUD Jailolo.
Bahkan sebelum-sebelummya pihaknya sudah berupaya mendatangkan dokter mata ke RSUD Jailolo, hanya saja dokter tersebut kemudian disekolahkan lagi pemerintah daerah asalnya. Sehingga ketika selesai, mereka langsung kembali mengabdi di daerah asalnya.
“Untuk itu, saya minta putra-putri daerah jangan hanya mengambil dokter umum, tapi juga dokter mata. Sehingga ketika selesai, bisa kembali mengabdi di Halbar,” pintanya.
Lanjut Syafrullah, pihaknya juga saat ini ketambahan satu dokter penyakit jantung yang telah beraktivitas sekitar dua pekan lalu. Selain itu, dokter penyakit dalam dan dokter bedah juga didatangkan sehari dua.
“Target kita dokter penyakit dalam dan dokter bedah ini sudah mulai bertugas bulan ini. Kalau proses kesiapannya molor, paling lambat bulan depan sudah ada,” tukasnya. (*)
