PENAMALUT.COM, JAILOLO – SMP Negeri 2 Kabupaten Halmahera Barat (Halbar) saat ini masih kekurangan guru.
Ini disampaikan Kepala SMP Negeri 2 Halbar Elizabeth kepada Nuansa Media Grup (NMG), Rabu (20/7).
“Untuk SMP Negeri 2 Halbar ini masih kekurangan tiga guru mata pelajaran, yaitu Matematika, Prakarya, Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi,” sebut Elizabeth.
Elizabeth berkata, pemicu kekurangan guru ini lantaran ada salah satu guru honorer mata pelajaran Matematika yang sudah mengajar di sekolah lain.
Ini karena saat seleksi guru pegawai pemerintah dengan perjanjian kerja (PPPK) kemarin, guru tersebut lolos, sehingga sudah mendapatkan SK penempatan di tempat lain.
“Jadi kami disini ada dua guru yang mengajar Matematika yaitu saya sendiri dan satu lagi guru honorer, tapi dia sudah lolos seleksi guru PPPK dan telah mendapat SK penempatan ditempat lain, sehingga dia telah bertugas pada Senin kemarin,” jelas Elizabeth.
Selain guru Matematika, lanjut dia, pihaknya juga membutuhkan guru Prakarya yang harus mengisi tiga kelas. Pasalnya, sejauh ini sekolah yang ia pimpin belum memiliki guru Prakarya.
Begitu pula guru mata pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi. Saat ini, kata dia, pihaknya sangat membutuhkan guru mata pelajaran tersebut, bahkan hal ini sudah diajukan ke Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Halbar.
“Selain guru, kami juga meminta dukungan fasilitas termasuk komputer, karena siswa SMP Negeri 2 Halbar sampai saat ini sudah berjumlah di kisaran 500 orang, sedangkan sarana berupa komputer masih tersedia 21 unit, sehingga tidak sebanding dengan jumlah siswa yang ada,” katanya.
Karena itu, ia berharap kepada Pemkab Halbar agar membantu mengisi kekurangan fasilitas tersebut, termasuk pembangunan pagar sekolah.
“Lihat saja untuk pagar sekolah hanya di depan dan juga di samping, tetapi untuk lingkungan sekolah bagian belakang belum ada pagar, sehingga saya berharap ini juga menjadi perhatian Pemkab Halbar,” harapnya mengakhiri. (adi/tan)
