PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Penyidik Reserse Kriminal Khusus (Reskimsus) Polda Maluku Utara (Malut) menetapkan Bahrain Kasuba sebagai tersangka kasus dugaan korupsi anggaran operasional kepala daerah Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan (Halsel) senilai Rp 4. 507. 151. 500.
Mantan Bupati Halmahera Selatan ini ditetapkan tersangka bersama dengan mantan Sekretaris Daerah Halmahera Selatan, Helmi Surya Botutihe, mantan Kabag Hukum Ilham Abubakar, mantan Kabag Umum Saimah Kasubah dan Junaidi Hasjim.
Penetapan lima tersangka ini diakui Kabid Humas Polda Maluku Utara, Kombes (Pol) Michael Irwan Thamsil. “Tadi penyidik melakukan gelar perkara, setelah gelar perkara langsung menetapkan lima orang sebagai tersangka,” kata Michael kepada wartawan Nuansa Media Grup (NMG), Jumat (12/8).
Menurutnya, setelah dilakukan penetapan tersangka, kelima tersangka akan dipanggil dan menjalani pemeriksaan sebagai tersangka. “Lima tersangka ini akan dipanggil kemudian diperiksa sebagai tersangka,” jelasnya.
Sekadar diketahui, dugaan korupsi anggaran operasional Bupati dan Wakil Bupati mencuat pasca transisi kepemimpinan dari Bupati Bahrain Kasuba dan Wakil Bupati Iswan Hasjim ke Bupati Usman Sidik dan Wakil Bupati Hasan Ali Bassam Kasuba. Anggaran tersebut melekat di Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Halsel dan digunakan pada periode Januari sampai awal Mei 2021. (rii)
