“Agar proses demokrasi di tahun 2024 berjalan lancar, maka penyelenggara diharapkan menjadi sprit berdemokrasi yang baik dan jujur,” kata Iksan kepada Nuansa Media Grup (NMG), Selasa (13/12).
Selain itu, ia juga meminta seluruh stakeholder untuk memberikan dukungan kepada penyelenggara KPU dan Bawaslu, agar momentum Pilpres, DPR-RI, DPD-RI, DPRD di tahun 2024 berjalan dengan baik dan transpran sejalan dengan Undang-undang Pemilu.
“Maka saya memberikan dukungan kepada KPU dan Bawaslu, baik pusat maupun daerah yang selama ini telah menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya dengan baik, termasuk dalam proses verifikasi administrasi dan verifikasi faktual,” tutur Iksan.
Karena itu, kata dia, KPU dan Bawaslu jangan mau didikte dan ditekan oleh sekelompok orang yang mengatasnamakan elemen pro demokrasi, tetapi menjalankan cara yang tidak demokrasi dan memaksakan kehendak.
“Penyelenggara sudah seharusnya berdiri di atas kaki sendiri berjalan sesuai dengan aturan dan peruandang-undangan yang berlaku, sehingga demokrasi dan cita-cita kita semua bisa menjadi kenyataan,” pungkasnya. (tan)
