PENAMALUT.COM, TOBELO – Dry Stack Tailing yang merupakan tempat proses sisa hasil pengolahan mineral milik PT NHM telah diresmikan, Kamis (2/2) di Gosowong.
Peresmian itu ditandai dengan pengguntingan pita oleh Presiden Direktur Petrosea Romi Novan Indrawan, Chief Financial Officer Rudi Santoso, dan disaksikan Presiden Direktur PT NHM Haji Robert Nitiyudo Wachjo.
Turut hadir dalam peresmian tersebut. Nicolas D. Kanter alias Nico Kanter, Direktur Utama PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM), Wakil Direktur Utama (Wadirut) Amiruddin Hasyim, Manajer Departemen Water Treatment dan DST, Tommy Octaviantana
tim Social Performance (SP) PT NHM, serta jajaran Manajemen PT NHM bahkan tamu undangan lainnya.
Dengan adanya pabrik Dry Stack Tailing yang baru milik perusahan tambang besar sekelas PT NHM akan membantu proses yang ada.
Terbukti, Presiden Direktur (Presdir) sekaligus Owner PT NHM, Haji Robert kembali menggunakan metode baru yaitu Dry Strack Tailing Process Flow.
“Karena saat ini kapasitas sudah hampir penuh maka tidak lagi digunakan bendungan tailing yang lama. Jadi, kita pakai Tailing yang baru Dry Strack Tailing,” Kata Wakil Direktur Utama Amiruddin Hasyim.
Meskipun demikian, kata Amirudin, keberadaan Tailing Dam lama saat ini masih memiliki nilai atau manfaat yang dapat diperoleh PT NHM.
“Selama pengolahan itu kan hanya 95 persen perolehannya, tentu 5 persen yang masuk ke tailing selama hampir 20 tahun sekian berjalan masih ada nilai untuk diolah,” jelasnya.
Sementara itu, Manajer Departemen Water Treatment dan DST, Tommy Octaviantana, mengungkapkan khusus untuk pengelolaan tailing menggunakan metode Dry Strack tailing, sehingga dihasilkan kering.
“Pengelolaan dalam bentuk tersebut telah dilakukan sesuai dengan penelitian ilmiah. Bahkan, hasil tersebut jauh lebih aman,” ungkapnya.
Hebatnya, PT NHM merupakan perusahan tambang pertama di Indonesia yang menggunakan metode Dry Strack tailing, meski masih dalam skala yang kecil.
“Rencananya dalam waktu dua bulan ini kita sudah full memulai operasinya,” tandasnya. (fnc)
