PENA – Kapolda Maluku Utara (Malut) telah resmi berpangkat Inspektur Jenderal (Irjen) Polisi. Begitu juga Wakapolda yang naik pangkat dari Kombes ke Brigadir Jenderal (Brigjen).
Kenaikan pangkat ini terjadi karena ada peningkatan status Polda Malut dari tipe B ke A.
Sehingga itu, KNPI beharap Polda Malut lebih meningkatkan kinerjanya. Sejauh ini KNPI belum melihat sikap tegas dari Kapolda Irjen (Pol) Rikwanto, tentang apa yang menjadi prioritasnya sepanjang menjabat sebagai Kapolda.
KNPI berharap Kapolda fokus juga pada pemberantasan korupsi di Malut. “Kapolda harus banyak berdiskusi dengan element non pemerintah. Dengan begitu, ia bisa tahu seperti apa dugaan praktik korupsi di Malut,” kata Ketua KNPI Malut, Irman Saleh, Selasa (19/5) kepada Penamalut.
Irman juga menyarankan Kapolda dan pejabat utama Polda agar tidak membuka pintu lebar-lebar terhadap pimpinan-pimpinan SKPD, baik pemprov maupun kabupaten/kota. Karena hal itu bisa saja mengganggu penanganan kasus dugaan korupsi.
“Kami memahami bahwa sementara ini kita terfokus pada penanganan Covid 19, begitu juga jajaran Polda. Akan tetapi, insha Allah masalah ini selesai, Kapolda harus menunjukkan sikapnya terkait keseriusannya dalam menangani korupsi,” tambah Irman.
“KNPI akan berbangga kalau Bapak Irjen Pol Rikwanto mampu mengusut kasus dugaan korupsi Malut hingga pelakunya diadili di pengadilan. Publik akan salut kepada Kapolda kalau yang diusut adalah pejabat aktif. KNPI yakin Polda telah kantongi data terkait dugaan masalah penyalahgunaan anggaran di pemprov malut,” tutup Irman. (*)
