PENA – Hujan deras yang mengguyur sejumlah wilayah di Maluku Utara sejak pagi hingga sore tadi menyebabkan sejumlah wilayah tersebut dilanda banjir. Seperti yang terjadi Kecamatan Kao Barat, Kabupaten Halmahera Utara, tepatnya di Desa Bailangit.
Akibat banjir tersebut, 485 orang terpaksa dievakuasi oleh tim gabungan TNI/Polri dan Basarnas. Informasi yang diterima dari kantor Basarnas Ternate menyebutkan, sekitar pukul 18.55 WIT, tim Rescue Pos SAR Tobelo tiba di lokasi banjir di Desa Bailangit dan langsung berkoordinasi dengan unsur potensi yang sudah ada di lapangan.
Selanjutnya tim SAR gabungan mulai mengevakuasi warga yang saat itu masih terjebak di dalam rumah. Para korban dievakuasi ke Desa Kai menggunakan LCR Pos SAR Tobelo. Evakuasi para korban ini dilakukan sejak sore hari hingga malam pukul 20.30 WIT. Meski demikian, sebagian masyarakat yang berada tidak mau dievakuasi dan memilih bertahan di rumah masing-masing yang sudah tergenang banjir.
Selain Desa Bailangit, ada beberapa desa sekitar juga terdampak, yakni Desa Somahotek, Desa Tiguis Parseba, Desa Pitago, dan Desa Soa Hukum. Hingga saat ini belum terdapat laporan adanya korban jiwa. (ask)
