PENA – Rencana pembentukan Dewan Kebudayaan Maluku Utara oleh beberapa kalangan akademisi dan aktivis baru-baru ini, ditentang oleh Keluarga Malamo Ternate (Karamat).
Melalui siaran pers yang diterima penamalut.com, Senin (8/2), Presidium Karamat M Ronny Saleh mempertanyakan,
apakah benar pembentukan Dewan Kebudayaan Maluku Utara berdasarkan UU Nomor 5 Tahun 2017 tentang Pemajuan Kebudayaan. Atau pembentukan Dewan Kebudayaan Maluku Utara hanya tanpa urgensi yang jelas.
“Menurut kami komunitas budaya dan lembaga seni telah ada dan begitu banyak untuk saat ini. Begitupun ada Dinas Parawisata dan Kebudayaan Provinsi serta Kabupaten/Kota. Selain itu, ada 4 Kesultanan di Moloku Kie Raha yang lembaganya sudah ratusan tahun, yang tentunya sudah representatif untuk melakukan pemajuan kebudayaan,” tandas Ronny.
Ronny menambahkan, untuk pemajuan kebudayaan tidak harus membentuk Dewan Kebudayaan. Apalagi menyangkut 10 poin yang mendasari pemajuan kebudayaan, harusnya diberikan ruang kepada komunitas budaya dan seni di semua kabupaten kota, empat lembaga adat di empat kesultanan, dan balai cagar budaya serta dinas teknis yang ada di Maluku Utara.
Jika saling koordinasi dan bekerja sama dalam pemajuan kebudayaan, lanjut Ronny, tidak penting jika Dewan Kebudayaan harus dibentuk. Apalagi sampai menggelar kongres kebudayaan yang bagi Ronny, hanyalah ajang untuk gagah-gagahan.
“Paling penting pemerintah dan stakeholder memilki semangat dan niat yang sama dalam pemajuan kebudayaan. Karena budaya tidak bisa dikanalisasi untuk sekelompok saja, tapi dinamis untuk semua komunitas,” jelasnya. (*)
