PENAMALUT.COM, LABUHA – Mantan Bupati Halmahera Selatan, Bahrain Kasuba, menyatakan kesiapannya untuk maju bertarung pada Pemilihan Gubernur Maluku Utara 2024 nanti.
Meski pemilihan gubernur masih tiga tahun lagi, namun mantan Ketua DPRD Halsel itu optimis dirinya bakal menjadi salah satu kontestan pada Pilgub nanti.
“Saya optimis, dan Insha Allah jika Allah mengizinkan, saya siap untuk maju sebaga calon Gubernur Maluku Utara,” kata Bahrain saat ditemui wartawan, Selasa (3/8) kemarin.
Kesiapan maju Pilgub ini ia ungkapkan lantaran saat ini telah membangun komunikasi dengan beberapa partai politik.
Tidak hanya itu, ponakan Gubernur Malut Abdul Gani Kasuba ini merasa bahwa dirinya masih diperbincangkan di ruang-ruang politik.
“Ini artinya saya belum mati di kancah politik, dan saya masih diperhitungkan oleh para politisi di Malut,” tuturnya.
Ia bahkan menyatakan jika nanti Muhammad Kasuba (MK) yang juga merupakan adik kandung Gubernur Malut juga maju Pilgub nanti, ia siap berhadap-hadapan dengan pamannya itu.
“Saya siap berhadap-hadapan. Supaya publik tahu, kalau saya juga bisa,” tukasnya.
Soal partai politik, ia masih merahasiakannya. Sebab saat ini komunikasi masih berjalan. Bahkan ia mengaku beberapa kepala daerah masih intens komunikasi dengannya.
“Ada beberapa bupati di Malut ini, dorang (mereka) merebut untuk berpasangan dengan saya. Saya tidak perlu sebutkan bupati mana. Intinya saya masih diperhitungkan,” terangnya.
“Saya yakin dan percaya, kalau masyarakat Halsel masih ingin saya maju. Kegagalan saya bertarung dalam Pilkada Halsel kemarin bukanlah akhir dari tujuan, tapi karena pihak-pihak yang merasa takut kepada saya, sehingga menghentikan saya dalam proses perjalanan,” pungkasnya. (rul/ask)
