PENAMALUT.COM, SANANA – Bupati Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula, Hj, Fifian Adiningsih Mus akan memberikan beasiswa S2 bagi mahasiswa yang mendapat predikat lulusan cumlaude.
Ini disampaikan Fifian saat menghadiri acara wisudawan dan wisudawati Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) Babussalam tahun akademik 2020/2021, Kamis (12/8) tadi.
“Ada wisudawan dan wisudawati yang mendapatkan predikat cumlaude, saya akan kasih beasiswa S2,” ujurnya saat menyampaikan sambutan pada kegiatan wisuda tersebut.
Bupati perempuan pertama di Maluku Utara ini juga menyampaikan siap menunggu para wisudawan dan wisudawati yang akan mengabdikan diri di lingkungan pemerintah daerah (Pemda) Kepulauan Sula maupun di sekolah-sekolah yang ada di dua pulau yakni Pulau Mangoli dan Sulabesi.
“Yang mau mengabdikan diri ke Pemda silahkan, saya tunggu. Dan yang mau menjadi guru di setiap desa atau kecamatan masing-masing, saya juga siap menunggu,” tukasnya.
Menanggapi hal itu, akademi STAI Babussalam Samsudin Buamona mengapresiasi rencana Bupati Fifian yang akan memberikan beasiswa S2 kepada mahasiswa yang mendapat lulusan terbaik dengan predikat cumlaude.
Menurut Samsudin, kampus belum cukup melanjutkan studi S2 bagi mahasiswa yang lulus dengan predikat chmlaude ini, sehingga selama ini banyak alumni lulusan-lulusan terbaik yang tidak bisa melanjutkan studi S2 bila hanya berharap di kampus.
Ia bilang, ketika bupati memberikan ruang untuk melanjutkan jenjang pendidikan pasca sarjana atau magister, itu merupakan hal penting yang ditunggu-tunggu demi tercapainya sarana-prasarana dan pengembangan potensi intelektual di kampus.
Sekertaris jurusan syariah itu berharap, apa yang disampaikan oleh bupati tidak hanya sekadar pemanis bibir.
“Semoga apa yang disampaikan oleh Ibu Bupati tidak hanya pemanis semata atau penyejuk telinga, sehingga alumni yang diikutsertakan melanjutkan studi juga mampu memberikan kontribusi dalam mewujudkan Sula bahagia,” harapnya.
Sekadar terdapat 4 mahasiswa dengan lulusan predikat cumlaude yang tersebar di Program Studi Ahkwalusyaksiyah, Program Studi Muamalah, Program Studi Manajemen Pendidikan Islam, dan Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam. (ish/ask)
