PENAMALUT.COM, LABUHA – Gubernur Maluku Utara, Abdul Gani Kasuba, meminta kesediaan Presiden Joko Widodo untuk meresmikan Masjid Raya Shafa Khairat di Sofifi dan Masjid Raya Alkhairat Bacan, Halmahera Selatan.
Ini disampaikan Gubernur yang akarab disapa AGK itu saat memberikan sambutan pada kegiatan rapat koordinasi terbatas sektor perikanan dan budidaya yang bertempat di Aula Kantor Bupati Halsel, Selasa (24/8) tadi.
Menurut Gubernur, ia telah mememinta kesediaan waktu Jokowi saat beberapa waktu lalu Presiden Jokowi menelponnya memberitahukan soal bantuan kesehatan.
“Beberapa hari lalu, Presiden telepon ke saya memberitahu soal bantuan kesehatan. Saya kemudian meminta kesediaan beliau untuk meresmikan Masjid Raya Sofifi,” ujarnya.
“Saya juga bilang ke Presiden, kalau sampai di Maluku Utara dan meresmikan Masjid Raya Sofifi, saya juga minta presiden untuk meresmikan Masjid Raya Alkhairat di Bacan,” sambungnya.
Orang nomor satu di jajaran Pemprov Malut ini mengungkapkan, kabupaten terbesar di Malut adalah Halsel. Sayang jika Presiden menyempatkan waktu ke Malut dan tidak berkunjung Halsel.
“Presiden bilang ke saya beliau bersedia. Saya yakin jika Presiden sudah bilang bersedia, maka pasti datang,” katanya.
Untuk itu, Gubernur dua periode ini meminta Pemkab Halsel terutama Bupati Usman Sidik agar mempercepat pembangunan Masjid Raya Halsel.
“Jangan sampai Presiden datang, Masjid belum selesai. Jadi harus dipercepat pembangunannya,” pinta mantan anggota DPR RI ini. (rul/ask)
