Kenaikan harga ikan ini disebabkan cuaca buruk yang terjadi di peraiaran Maluku Utara beberapa hari belakangan ini.
Pantauan media ini di lapangan, harga ikan cakalang berukuran sedang yang sebelumnya dijual 50 hingga 60 ribu rupiah per ekor, kini naik menjadi 100 ribu per ekor. Sementara untuk ikan cakalang dengan ukuran besar dijual dengan harga 140 sampai 150 ribu per ekor.
Sedangkan ikan komo ukuran kecil dijual 20 ribu per 6 ekor. Untuk ikan sorihi dan kembung ukuran sedang hingga besar masing-masing 50 ribu per 9 ekornya.
“Biasanya kalo lagi murah atau cuaca baik, kita jual satu ekor hanya 90 eibu rupiah. Ini karena cuaca buruk, jadi ikan agak susah, makanya harga naik,” kata Rasiid, salah satu penjual ikan di Pasar Higienis saat ditemui wartawan, Kamis (9/12) tadi.
Sementara untuk ikan dengan ukuran kecil harganya sudah turun sejak hari Minggu kemarin.
“Harga ikan naik ini karena cuaca buruk yang terjadi hampir di seluruh wilayah Maluku Utara,” ujar Mini pedagang lainnya.
Namun demikian, saat ini stok ikan yang sebagian besar dipasok dari Kepulauan Sula dan Pulau Bacan itu masih aman dan dapat mencukupi kebutuhan masyarakat di Kota Ternate. (mit/ask)
