PENAMALUT.COM, SOFIFI – Puluhan massa aksi yang menamakan diri Aliansi Masyarakat Oba Bersatu (AMOB) Tidore Kepulauan mendatangi Kantor DPRD Provinsi Maluku Utara, Senin (12/9).
Pada kesempatan itu, masyarakat meminta Gubernur Maluku Utara, Abdul Gani Kasuba, agar serius mengurus Sofifi sebagai Ibu Kota Provinsi Malut.
Kordinator aksi, Abdullah Nasir dalam orasinya menyampaikan, terhitung sudah 20 tahun Sofifi ditetapkan sebagai Ibu Kota Provinsi Malut berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 46 tahun 1999, namun realitasnya tidak ada kemajuan dari segi infrastruktur.
Bahkan ia menilai, selain tidak berkembang, Sofifi merupakan salah satu daerah yang paling terbelakang. Hal ini tentunya sangat berbeda dengan ibu kota provinsi di daerah-daerah lain di Indonesia.
Olenya itu, sebagai anak negeri, pihaknya mendesak Presiden dan DPR RI untuk segera menetapkan Sofifi sebagai Daerah Otonomi Baru DOB) sebelum Pemilu tahun 2024.
Tak hanya itu, mereka juga meminta komitment Gubernur dan DPRD Malut untuk serius mengurus Ibu Kota Provinsi Malut dengan menetapkan Peraturan Daerah tentang Percepatan Pembangunan Sofifi sebagai ibu kota serta mengalokasikan 30 persen dari APBD I.
“Kami juga meminta pertanggungjawaban Walikota Tidore Kepulauan dan DPRD untuk mendukung percepatan pembangunan Sofifi sebagai bagian dari wilayahnya, serta menetapkan Peraturan Daerah tentang Percepatan Pembangunan Sofifi dengan mengalokasikan 20 persen dari APBD II Kota Tidore Kepulauan,” desak Abdullah.
“Sofifi sebagai ibu kota, tetapi hingga saat ini tidak berkembang dan maju seperti daerah lain di Indonesia. Ini artinya, wilayah ibu kota tidak diurus dengan serius, karena ketidakjelasan tanggung jawab,” pungkasnya. (ano/ask)
