PENAMALUT.COM, SANANA – Satu komisioner Bawaslu Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula, inisial AU, sudah ditetapkan sebagai tersangka dalam kasus kecelakaan lalulintas (Lakalantas).
Kapolres Kepulauan Sula, AKBP Cahyo Widyatmoko mengatakan, kasus pidana yang mengakibatkan orang terluka hingga meninggal dunia, proses penanganannya sama di mata hukum.
“Olehnya itu, siapapun dia yang membuat pelanggaran hukum, maka kami akan melakukan penindakan sebagaimana mestinya,” katanya kepada wartawan Nuaansa Media agrup (NMG), Rabu (5/10).
Menurut Cahyo, saat ini yang bersangkutan sudah ditetapkan sebagai tersangka dari hasil gelar perkara. Saat ini penyidik sedang mempercepat berkas penyidikannya.
Meski sudah ditetapkan tersangka, saat ini pelaku belum ditahan lantaran masih kooperatif.
“Kalau untuk penahanan tersangka sampai sejauh ini belum, dan penahanan itu menjadi kewenangan penyidik Polres Sula. Apabila pelaku masih kooperatif, maka belum ditahan,” ujarnya.
Namun Cahyo menegaskan, pihaknya akan melakukan penahanan, jika sudah dilakukan tahap dua.
“Kita juga akan sampaikan kembali ke rekan-rekan, jika sudah ditahan,” tegasnya.
Sementara pelaku akan disangkakan dengan Pasal 310 ayat (4) Undang-Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2009 tentang Lalulintas dan Angkutan Jalan. (ish/ask)
