PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Helmi Umar Muchsin resmi mendaftarkan diri sebagai Bakal Calon Anggota DPD RI Dapil Maluku Utara, Kamis (11/5) hari ini.
Balon dengan akronim Humanis ini datang ke KPU Provinsi Malut sekira pukul 10.01 WIT yang disambut langsung oleh Ketua KPU, Pudja Sutamat, bersama anggota KPU Mochtar Alting, Buchari Mahmud, Reni S.A. Banjar, Safrina Rahma dan Sekretaris KPU Efendi Latuconsina.
Humanis menyerahkan dokumen yang turut disaksikan oleh Bawaslu Malut yang dinyatakan lengkap dan diterima. Usai pendaftaran dirinya, kepada Nuansa Media Grup (NMG), Helmi mengatakan ia termotivasi untuk maju sebagai anggota DPD RI untuk mengakomodasi kepentingan daerah di pusat.
“Sehingga nantinya akan tercipta keseimbangan antar daerah dan keseimbangan pusat dengan daerah sesuai tuntutan demokrasi dan rasa keadilan yang sejalan dengan semangat dan cita-cita pembentukan DPD melalui amandemen ketiga UUD 1945,” jelasnya.
Helmi sendiri sudah 20 tahun berkiprah di dunia politik dengan menduduki kursi DPRD Provinsi Malut. Bagi dia, itu adalah modal penting karena jejaring yang sudah terbangun, termasuk di kalangan akar rumput.
“Semua calon dengan kelebihan dan kekurangan memiliki peluang yang sama merebut 4 kursi, saya optimis meraih kursi dengan memanfaatkan potensi yang saya miliki,” papar Helmi.
Ia pun berharap pemilu 2024 berjalan jurdil, lancar dan aman serta seluruh calon dapat mengedepankan etika politik dan komunikasi dengan gagasan juga narasi yang mencerahkan.
“Mudah-mudahan seluruh calon dapat menghindari politik transaksional dan kampanye hitam yang nantinya dapat merusak tatanan demokrasi,” pungkasnya. (tan)
