PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Dinas Perhubungan Kota Ternate merekayasa arus lalu lintas di depan Pasar Higienis dan Terminal Gamalama Ternate hari ini, Rabu (19/10).
Rekayasa lalu lintas itu dilakukan sebagai upaya mengurai kemacetan yang kerap terjadi di ruas jalan tersebut.
Penertiban ini menyusul hasil rapat bersama Polres Ternate, Disperindag dan BP2RD Kota Ternate beberapa waktu lalu.
“Arahan dari Pak Kapolres adalah untuk bagaimana di tata kembali terkait arus lalu lintas yang ada di seputaran Pasar Higienis sampai Terminal Gamalama,” ujar Sekretaris Dishub Kota Ternate, Mochtar Hasim, Selasa (18/10) kemarin.
Karena itu, pihak Dishub mulai menertibkan pedagang buah yang menempati area jembatan depan Pasar Barito dan baliho billboard besar akan dipasang penghalang (barier).
“Kami bersama Polres mulai melakukan penertiban pedagang buah di atas jembatan, karena sering menimbulkan kemacetan yang tinggi di area tersebut,” katanya.
“Penertiban ini guna dilakukan rekayasa lalu lintas disini agar bisa berjalan aman, tertib dan lancar sesuai dengan hasil kesepakatan bersama,” sambungnya.
Selain penertiban pedagang buah, lanjut Mochtar, mobil angkutan kota (angkot) sejak kemarin hingga seterusnya tidak lagi dijadikan sebagai tempat parkir di area tersebut. Mereka langsung diarahkan masuk ke area Terminal agar mengurai tingkat kemacetan.
Selain itu, pihaknya juga berkolaborasi dengan Disperindag. Dengan begitu, Disperindag mengarahkan pedagang yang mengambil badan jalan di depan Pasar Higenis agar masuk ke dalam pasar untuk memaksimalkan area parkiran, karena ada penilangan di depan Pasar Higienis lantaran area tersebut dilarang parkir.
“Semua kendaraan roda dua maupun roda empat masuk area parkir Higienis, dan jika sudah penuh, maka kita arahkan ke Terminal agar akses di sini tetap berjalan normal seperti yang diatur sebelumnya,” jelasnya.
Ia juga mengaku, untuk 10 pedagang kaki lima (PKL) yang berjualan dari sore sampai malam juga kerap menimbulkan kemacetan luar biasa.
“Untuk itu, pedagang buah nanti diarahkan tempatnya oleh Disperindag, Dishub dan Lantas hanya mengatur kondisi jalan raya, tepi jalan dan area parkir khususnya,” tutup Mochtar. (udi/tan)
