PENA – Kepala Dinas Energi Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Provinsi Maluku Utara, Hasyim Daeng Barang, resmi menjabat Penjabat Wali Kota Ternate.
Pelantikannya dilakukan pada Rabu (17/3), bertempat di Aula Nuku Kantor Gubernur Maluku Utara di Sofifi. Wakil Gubernur M. Al Yasin Ali memimpin langsung pelantikan dan pengambilan sumpah jabatan tersebut.
Pelantikan Penjabat wali kota Ternate ini berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Dalam Negeri, Nomor: 131.82-470 tahun 2021 tentang pengangkatan Penjabat Wali Kota Ternate, Hasym Daeng Barang.
Wakil Gubernur, M. Al. Yasin Ali saat dalam sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa pelantikan ini merupakan momentum penting dalam penyelenggaraan pemerintahan di Kota Ternate, guna mengisi kekosongan jabatan wali kota defenitif. Di mana sampai saat ini proses Pilkada di Kota Ternate masih berlangsung dan sedang memasuki tahapan persidangan di Mahkamah Konstitusi. Sementara masa jabatan wali kota defenitif telah berakhir.
“Kehadiran penjabat wali kota adalah semata-mata untuk menjamin kesinambungan jalannya roda pemerintahan,” ujarnya.
Wagub mengingatkan kepada penjabat wali kota yang baru dilantik walaupun dalam waktu yang singkat, hendaklah menjadi solusi atas permasalahan penyelenggaraan pemerintahan.
Sesuai keputusan Mendagri, penjabat wali kota memiliki tugas antara lain, menjamin kelancaran dan kesinambungan roda pemerintahan, memelihara ketentraman dan ketertiban, melakukan pengisian pejabat dan mutasi pegawai setelah mendapat persetujuan tertulis Mendagri, serta melaksanakan tugas selaku ketua satgas penanganan Covid-19.
“Saya berharap kepada semua elemen masyarakat maupun pemerintah Kota Ternate agar tetap memelihara keharmonisan, ketenangan dan kedamaian, sampai proses Pilkada ini selesai,” harapnya. (Red)
