PENAMALUT.COM, TOBELO – Hari ulang tahun (HUT) kabupaten Halmahera Utara (Halut) ke-18 yang dirayakan setiap tanggal 31 Mei diwarnai dengan aksi unjuk rasa oleh sekelompok mahasiswa.
Masa unjuk rasa dari Samurai Maluku Utara tersebut mendatangi Polres Halut, kantor Bupati dan kantor DPRD Halut, menyuarakan tentang berbagai tindakan kekerasan dan pemerkosaan yang kerap dialami oleh perempuan di Halut.
Koordinator unjuk rasa Nurlaila Djafar, dalam aksinya mengatakan, anak perempuan yang lahir bukan untuk disakiti, dianiaya, dizolimi bahkan diperkosa oleh orang-orang yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Mereka harus dilindungi oleh pemerintah yang menguatkan perlindungan itu dengan undang-undang.
Nurlaila juga mendesak Pemerintah Daerah (Pemda) Halut untuk lebih intens mensosialisasikan kekerasan terhadap perempun dan anak, dan pemda harus berhenti melindungi pelaku kekerasan.
Sementara pihak kepolisian didesak untuk mengusut tuntas pelaku kekerasan, sediakan pelayanan call center di setiap desa. Masa unjuk rasa juga meminta pemerintah untuk terapkan kurikulum sex education di setiap lembaga pendidikan dan menyediakan pendampingan terhadap korban kekerasan.
“Segera lahirkan perda tentang perlindungan perempuan dan anak sahkan RUU PKS,” kata Nurlaila, Senin (31/5).
Sementra Kepala Seksi Pemenuhan Hak Anak (PHA) DP3AKB, Sarifa H. Ahmd mengaku, tindakan kekerasan dan pemerkosaan terhadap perempuan merupakan perilaku tidak manusiawi. Sejak terjadi tindakan pemerkosaan pihaknya selalu menunggu laporan untuk ditindaklanjuti.
“Torang (kami) dari DP3AKB menunggu laporan, tapi sampai saat ini laporan belum masuk,” ungkapnya.
Dikatakannya, untuk kasus kekerasan dan pemerkosaan yang terjadi di Galela, 18 Mei lalu, sudah ditangani PPA Polres Halut. Sarifa mengaku, minggu ini akan turun ke lokasi untuk melakukan investigasi. (fnc)
