PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Ekspedisi burung Bidadari tidak lagi masuk dalam agenda event tahunan Festival Teluk Jailolo (FTJ) ke-12 tahun 2021. Padahal, di kegiatan yang sama pada tahun-tahun sebelumnya, ekspedisi burung endemik asli Pulau Halmahera ini selalu digelar.
Kepala Dinas Pariwisata (Kadispar) Halmahera Barat (Halbar), Fenny Kiat mengatakan, di FTJ 2021 ini ekspedisi burung Bidadari terpaksa tidak masuk dalam agenda karena masih masa Pandemi Covid-19. Ada sejumlah konten acara yang dibatasi, salah satunya ekspedisi tersebut.
“Kalau untuk agenda ekspedisi burung Bidadari cenderung peminatnya dari wisatawan mancanegara, jadi untuk kali ini masih dalam Pandemi Covid-19 sehingga kami masih fokus pada segmentasi lokal, yang diutamakan untuk wisatawan lokal Maluku Utara,” jelas Fenny.
Sementara itu, Bupati Halbar James Uang, juga menyampaikan FTJ yang digelar ini diusahakan tidak menimbulkan kerumunan orang yang begitu banyak.
“Karena kami dilarang untuk memunculkan kerumunan orang dengan jumlah yang besar, jadi kami tidak ada target berapa banyak orang yang harus dihitung,” jelas James.
Diharapkannya, pengunjung tetap taat pada protokol kesehatan. “Dan kalau bisa wisatawan yang datang dari luar Halmahera Barat juga harus di-swab test,” pintanya.
Orang nomor satu di Pemkab Halbar ini juga menyebutkan, akan berkoordinasi dengan pihak kesehatan maupun rumah sakit, jadi yang hadir dari luar daerah itu dipastikan bahwa lewat pengujian kesehatan dengan baik. Dia berharap, dengan begitu tidak ada penularan virus-virus kepada orang-orang Halmahera Barat dalam menyaksikan FTJ kali ini.
Sekadar diketahui, Burung Bidadari merupakan salah satu spesies burung endemik yang langka dan menjadi ikon dari Pulau Halmahera, Provinsi Maluku Utara. Burung Bidadari Halmahera yang memiliki nama latin Semioptera Wallacii adalah jenis burung yang masih satu keluarga dengan burung Cendrawasih, namun memiliki ukuran yang lebih kecil. (yadi)
