PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Usai terpilihnya Dr. M. Ridha Ajam sebagai rektor Universitas Khairun (Unkhair) Ternate masa bakti 2021-2025 menggantikan Prof. Husen Alting, jadwal pelantikan yang direncakan berlangsung besok kemungkinan besar masih ditunda.
Hal itu karena pihak Panitia Pemilihan dan Pelantikan Rektor masih menunggu kepastian soal jadwal kesediaan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Mendikbud) yang dikeluarkan oleh Sekretariat Kemendikbud.
Ketua Panitia Pemilihan Rektor, Hidayatussalam mengatakan, Rektor Unkhair yang baru sejatinya harus dilantik oleh Mendikbud, Nadiem Makarim. Namun karena Pemberlakukan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM), kepastian soal kehadiran menteri pada pelantikan yang direncakan besok juga belum jelas.
“Untuk SK baru sebenarnya sudah ada, hanya saja kondisi sekarang masih ada PPKM jadi soal pelantikan kemungkinan besar masih ditunda,” jelas Hidayatussalam yang juga Sekretaris Senat Unkhair, Senin (26/7) di Aula Nuku kampus Unkhair Ternate.
Hidayatussalam menambahkan, pihaknya juga terus berkoordinasi dengan Sekretariat Kemendikbud terkait jadwal kesiapan pelantikan. Namun pihak Sekretariat Kemendikbud masih belum dapat menentukan jadwal menteri yang katanya padat. Padahal masa jabatan Prof. Husen Alting sebagai rektor sebelumnya telah berakhir 26 Juni 2021 hari ini.
“Pagi tadi kami menghubungi pihak Kemendikbud, tapi mereka belum bisa memastikan terkait kesediaan Mendikbud untuk bisa hadir pada pelantikan besok. Karena Rektor baru harus dilantik oleh menteri, maka kita juga masih menunggu kepastian dari Kemendikbud,” tambahnya.
Unkhair bakal terjadi kekosongan jabatan rektor jika pelantikan belum digelar besok. Atas masalah itu, Hidayatussalam mengatakan, sedang berkomunikasi dengan Dirjen Dikti Kemendikbud untuk penunjukkan pelaksana tugas (Plt) Rektor Unkahir.
“Surat dari Dikti juga kita masih menunggu dan kita terus berkoordinasi terkait Plt Rektor. Kondisi sekarang masih PPKM jadi semua belum dapat dipastikan,” tandasnya.
Jelasnya, lanjut Hidayatussalam, masa jabatan Prof Husen Alting telah berakhir besok. Terkait keputusan Plt, dirinya berharap Dirjen Dikti segera sampaikan keputusan. Namun terkait pelantikan dan SK Rektor yang baru, pihaknya belum dapat memastikan. Selain itu, karena pemberlakuan PPKM pihaknya juga belum bisa memastikan apakah pelantikan akan berlangsung langsung atau daring.
Pemilihan Rektor Unkhair, pada Kamis, 8 Juli lalu, berlangsung dengan sistem e-voting. Dr Ridha Ajam memperoleh suara terbanyak dengan jumlah 29 suara dari total 54 suara. Atas perolehan tersebut, Ridha berhak menggantikan Rektor Unkhair sebelumnya Prof. Husen Alting. (udi)
