PENAMALUT.COM, SANANA – Pemerintah Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula melalui Dinas Pertanian menghadiri penanaman bibit kacang tanah dan jagung oleh petani binaan Pemkab Sula, bertempat di Waikalopa Desa Fukweu, Kecamatan Sanana Utara, Sabtu (21/8).
Kepala Dinas pertanian Sula, Nurhayati Latuconsina menyampaikan, lahan yang ditanami kacang dan jagung itu merupakan pengembangan agrowisata buah.
Sambil menunggu menghasilkan buah, petani memanfaatkan lahan tersebut dengan menanam kacang tanah dan jagung. Lahan yang ditanami kacang dan jagung ini seluas 2 hektar dengan benih sebanyak 120 kilo
“Kegiatan ini sebagai realisasi kunjungan Ibu Bupati beberapa waktu lalu ke lahan pertanian dan melihat tanaman kacang dengan hasil yang cukup luar biasa,” ujarnya.
Selain kacang tanah, Dinas Pertanian Sula juga berencana menanam tanaman aneka sayuran, cabe keriting, cabe rawit, dan tomat di lokasi tersebut. (ish/ask)
