Begini Kronologis Napi Lapas Ternate Yang Kabur Hingga Diamanakn Warga

PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Narapidana kasus pencurian dan pembunuhan, Muhamad Kasim Hafel alias Upi yang kabur dari Lapas Kelas IIA Ternate pada Selasa (24/8) dinihari kemarin, sudah diamankan warga Hiri dan diserahkan ke pihak kepolisian Polres Ternate, Rabu (25/8) tadi.

Kapolres Ternate, AKBP Aditya Laksimada kepad sejumlah awak media menjelaskan, Napi Lapas Ternate ini setelah berhasil kabur dari Lapas, ia kemudian mencoba melarikan diri ke Jailolo, Halmahera Barat menggunakan perahu warga.

Sebelum menyeberang lautan menggunakan perahu, ia lebih dulu masuk ke hutan, kemudian keluar lagi.

“Tujuan pelaku sebenarnya ke Jailolo, Halmahera Barat. Tapi mungkin karena kelelahan dan ombak, akhirnya merapat ke Pulau Hiri,” jelas Aditya.

Lanjut Kapolres, saat diintrogasi dari mana pelaku mendapatkan perahu itu, pelaku mengaku tidak tahu.

“Katanya sebelum menemukan perahu itu, ia masuk ke hutan-hutan dan menemukan itu bodi perahu milik warga lalu diambil. Pelaku tidak tahu dan sudah tidak ingat lagi di mana bodi itu diambil,” katanya.

Mantan Kapolres Halbar ini juga mengungkapkan, saat merapat ke Pulau Hiri, warga yang sebelumnya sudah mengetahui informasi tentang pelarian Napi Lapas Ternate dan sudah mengantongi ciri-ciri pelaku lalu memberitahu kepada anggota polisi yang bertugas di Hiri.

“Sekitar pukul 11.30 WIT warga melihat orang menggunakan perahu bodi merapat ke Pulau Hiri. Warga kemudian menghampiri dan melihat ciri-cirinya seperti yang disebarkan petugas, selanjutnya warga memberitahu petugas kepolisian,” terangnya.

Ia bilang, setelah dikroscek, memang benar Napi Lapas Ternate yang kabur. Petugas lalu membawa yang bersangkutan dan diamankan ke Mapolres Ternate untuk diintrogasi.

“Setelah ini kita langsung serahkan ke pihak Lapas Kelas IIA Ternate,” tandasnya.

Sekadar diketahui, Napi Upi melarikan diri dengan memanjat tembok Lapas setelah melakukan pengrusakan gembok kamar yang dihuni bersama Bayu yang juga Napi kasus narkotika.

Upi merupakan terpidana kasus pencurian dan pembunuhan di Kelurahan Salahudin, Kota Ternate, pada tahun 2016 lalu. Ia divonis 20 tahun penjara dan saat ini menjalani masa tahanannya. (red)
