PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Kebakaran hebat terjadi di Kelurahan Santiong, Kota Ternate, Maluku Utara (Malut), Jumat (24/9) dini hari sekira jam 2.00 Wit.
Satu rumah terbakar dalam peristiwa ini. Warga berbondong-bondong memadamkan api dengan peralatan seadanya.
Petugas pemadam kebakaran (Damkar) baru bisa datang sekitar 30 menit setelah api membakar hangus seluruh bangunan. 2 unit mobil damkar diturunkan pada peristiwa ini. Kondisi jalan yang sempit menjadi penyebab sulitnya petugas menjangkau lokasi kebakaran.
Dari informasi yang dihimpun media ini, terdapat satu korban jiwa dalam kebakaran tersebut. Korban diduga terjebak dalam kamar mandi saat api membakar bangunan.
Hingga berita ini ditayangkan, sekitar jam 3.00 Wit, petugas dibantu oleh warga masih terus memadamkan api yang tersisa. Sedang korban jiwa belum dapat dievakuasi karena kondisi bangunan yang roboh. Penyebab awal kebakaran belum dapat diketahui. (*)
