PENAMALUT.COM, JAILOLO – Kualitas Hasil pertanian di Kabupaten Halmahera Barat kelihatannya kalah bersaing dengan adanya pasokan bahan pangan hasil tani dari daerah lain yang berlimpah dan berkualitas.
Atas dasar itu, Ketua Fraksi PKB DPRD Halmahera Barat, Albert Hama, menyarankan agar Pemkab Halbar mencari pasar di luar terkait dengan hasil Tani di Halbar berupa pisang mulut bebek, cabai, tomat dan kubis.
“Seperti visi misi Bupati James Uang dan Wabup Djufri Muhammad sangat jelas, yaitu pertanian merupakan salah satu sektor unggulan yang harus menjadi prioritas masyarakat Halbar dan perlu dikembangkan,” jelasnya kepada Nuansa Media Grup (NMG), Rabu (5/10).
Menurutnya, ada beberapa jenis hasil pertanian Halmahera Barat yang harus dikembangkan, seperti sayuran kubis (kol) yang sempat dipromosikan di Kecamatan Tabaru, Halbar, namun kemudian gagal dan saat ini sudah mati.
“Kol di Tabaru sampai saat inikan sudah mati, karena pasokan hasil pertanian dari luar daerah begitu dominan,” ujar Albert.
Ia bilang, pasokan hasil Tani dari Manado dapat mendistribusikan cabai, tomat hingga kubis yang berkualitas dan harga yang relatif murah, sehingga hasil pertanian di Halbar tergerus seperti petani Ibu dan Tabaru.
“Yang dilihat saat ini kol dari Tabaru sudah mati dan tidak ada perkembangan lagi. Jadi hal ini sudah harus menjadi perhatian khusus dari pemerintah daerah supaya hasil pertanian seperti ini harus dikembangkan kembali,” pintanya
“Ini yang harus didorong oleh Pemda dengan membuka lahan seluas-luasnya, kemudian memberi bantuan kepada para petani pisang mulut bebek, dan dapat menyediakan pasar untuk para petani,” sambungnya.
Namun sejauh ini, kata dia, kelihatannya para petani mengurusi semuanya dengan sendiri, kendalanya mungkin karena niat politican real oleh Pemda terhadap petani.
“Padahal mayoritas masyarakat di Halbar pekerjaannya petani, jadi ini seharusnya menjadi perhatian khusus bagi Pemda,” katanya menyarankan.
Sehingga itu, ia berharap agar Pemkab Halbar mengucurkan anggaran di sektor pertanian untuk perkembangan petani di Halbar. Sebab, saat ini persaingan pasar terkait hasil tani oleh petani Halbar tergerus karena adanya pasokan hasil tani dari luar daerah dan juga kualitas hasil Tani yang buruk lantaran tidak ada sentuhan dari Pemda.
Di sisi lain, lanjutnya, terkait dengan segitiga emas salah satunya adalah sektor pertanian dalam rangka pemberdayaan masyarakat Halbar yang berprofesi sebagai petani.
“Segitiga emas dalam pandangan saya, Pemkab Halbar dan DPRD sendiri tidak tahu harus memulainya dari mana,” ucap Albert.
Ketua Bapemperda DPRD Halbar ini juga mengaku, kemarin pihaknya mengadakan pertemuan bersama Bapemperda DPRD Kota Ternate. Dalam pertemuan itu, pihaknya berinisiasi agar melakukan pertemuan lanjutan untuk menggodok, merumuskan dan memformulasikan terkait dengan segitiga emas.
“Kira-kira formulasi apa yang harus dimulai, sehingga progres segitiga emas dapat berjalan dengan lancar,” katanya.
Dari pertemuan tersebut, lanjutnya lagi, mereka berjanji bakal melakukan koordinasi dengan pihak Pemerintah Provinsi Maluku Utara. Dengan begitu, penggodokan aturan dari tiga kabupaten kota, yakni Halbar, Kota Ternate dan Kota Tidore Kepulauan bisa dikerucutkan. (adi/tan)
