PENAMALUT.COM, JAILOLO – Pelaksanaan upacara Penetapan Waktu (Taptu) dan pawai obor untuk mengenang detik-detik kemerdekaan Indonesia berjalan tertib dan khidmat.
Upacara Taptu tersebut dipimpin Kapolres Halmahera Barat AKBP Indra Andiarta S.I.K, M.H, dengan penyalaan api obor ini berlangsung di depan Kantor Bupati Halmahera Barat, Selasa (16/8).
Pelaksanaan upacara Taptu yang disertai pelepasan pawai obor juga dihadiri Wakil Bupati Halbar, Jufri Muhammad beserta jajaran Muspida dan Muspika.
Kapolres Halmahera Barat AKBP Indra Andiarta mengatakan, upacara Taptu dan pawai obor ini merupakan bagian yang tidak bisa terpisahkan di detik-detik menjelang peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) ke-77 RI.
“Ini sebagai upaya mengingat kembali perjuangan para pahlawan nasional dalam merebut kemerdekaan,” jelas Kapolres.
Menurut Kapolres, kegiatan Taptu dan pawai obor ini juga sebagai salah satu cara untuk mengobarkan semangat para generasi muda untuk mengisi kemerdekaan dengan hal-hal yang positif. (uum/tan)
