PENAMALUT.COM, TERNATE – Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (STKIP) Kie Raha melalui Program Studi (Prodi) Biologi menggelar Lokakarya Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM).
Lokakarya Kurikulum MBKM yang bertempat di ruang kuliah Prodi Biologi STKIP dilaksanakan pada Kamis (27/1) dengan menghadirkan Narasumber Dr. M. Natsir Tamalene.
Ketua Prodi Pendidikan Biologi, Dr. Ermin menjelaskan, tujuan dari kegiatan ini tentu dasarnya adalah aturan UU Nomor 12 tahun 2012 tentang pendidikan tinggi. Selanjutnya juga diteruskan dengan Permendikbud dan Ristek Nomor 3 tahun 2020 tentang Standar Perguruan Tinggi dengan kurikulum berbasis MBKM.
Kata Ermin, Prodi Biologi ini masih menggunakan kurikulum lama. Maka untuk mewujudkan MBKM, tentu harus disesuaikan dengan kurikulum baru.
“Jadi sebelum memberlakukan MBKM, aturannya harus membuat lokakarya kurikulum dulu. Setelah lokakarya, baru kurikulum itu bisa dijalankan oleh Prodi Pendidikan Biologi. Makanya kita buat kegiatan,” ujarnya.
Ermin bilang, upaya persiapan yang harus dilakukan oleh Prodi Pendidikan Biologi yakni membuat panduan MBKM, setelah panduan kemudian menyusun daftar mata kuliahnya.
Setelah mata kuliah masuk dalam daftar MBKM, maka selanjutnya mahasiswa sudah bisa diterjunkan ke lapangan untuk melakukan program MBKM. Mahasiswa yang melakukan program MBKM di luar nanti, paling tidak maksimal SKS yang ditempuh di Prodi Biologi ini harus mencapai 84 SKS dan harus capai 20 SKS.
Sementara dalam kesempatan itu, Dr. M. Natsir menyampaikan bahwa hal yang paling pokok dalam program studi yaitu persiapan. Di mana persiapan dalam membuat kurikulum itu, terutama menyiapkan panduannya.
“Panduan kurikulum MBKM itu harus disiapkan program studi. Selain program studi, institusi juga harus menyiapkan panduan itu. Jadi nanti program studi ketika menjalankan program MBKM ini harus merujuk pada panduan institusi dalam hal ini STKIP Kie Raha Ternate,” ucapnya.
Turut hadir dalam lokakarya kurikulum tersebut yaitu, Stakeholder SMAN 3 Kota Ternate, Alumni Biologi dan perwakilan pihak kampus STKIP Kie Raha Ternate. (tr3/ask)
