PENAMALUT.COM, TOBELO – Program Bedah 1000 Rumah di desa-desa lingkar tambang PT Nusa Halmahera Minerals (NHM) kembali melakukan peresmian rumah-rumah yang selesai dibangun.
Kali ini adalah untuk unit ke-5 dan 6 di Desa Kukumutuk, Kecamatan Kao, Kabupaten Halmahera Utara, belum lama ini di tahun 2023 yang dihadiri oleh perwakilan Departemen Social Performance (SP), tim Bedah Rumah, Kepala Desa Kukumutuk, dan masyarakat sekitar.
Penerima bantuan dari kedua rumah tersebut adalah keluarga Desius dan Yoram Dugalaha. Keduanya yang bekerja sebagai petani ini sebelumnya memiliki kondisi sehari-hari yang cukup memprihatinkan karena tinggal di tempat yang tidak layak huni.
Presiden Direktur PT NHM, H. Robert Nitiyudo Wachjo melalui tim Bedah Rumah, tim SP, serta berdasarkan musyawarah bersama Desa Kukumutuk, memutuskan untuk memberikan kepada kedua keluarga tersebut kesempatan menikmati tempat tinggal yang lebih baik, aman dan nyaman.
Kedua keluarga penerima bantuan tidak henti mengucapkan terima kasih kepada NHM khususnya Haji Robert karena telah memperhatikan masyarakat di lingkar tambang, serta rasa syukur yang mendalam atas bantuan yang diberikan sehingga mereka dapat memiliki tempat tinggal yang layak dan nyaman.
Dengan diresmikannya rumah unit ke 5 dan 6 di Desa Kukumutuk ini, maka total tercatat 149 unit rumah telah selesai dibangun dan diserahkan kepada masyarakat kurang mampu di desa-desa di lima kecamatan lingkar tambang.
Dua unit lainnya saat ini masih dalam proses pengerjaan, dan akan segera dilakukan serah terima kunci.
Program Bedah 1000 Rumah adalah inisiatif dari Haji Robert untuk memberikan hunian yang layak sekaligus berdampak langsung pada peningkatan kesehatan, keamanan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat lingkar tambang.
Pihaknya mengajak untuk tetap memberikan dukungan untuk setiap program-program sosial NHM di wilayah lingkar tambang maupun di Provinsi Maluku Utara. (fnc)
