PENA – Peristiwa tewasnya salah satu karyawan PT Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) Halmahera Tengah (Halteng), di area smelter A depan gudang batu bara pada Jumat 17 Juli lalu, mendapat sorotan DPD KNPI Maluku Utara (Malut).
Melalui keterangan tertulis yang disampaikan Wakil Ketua DPD KNPI Malut, Iskandar Joisangadji, mengindikasikan jika peristiwa tersebut bukanlah kecelakaan tunggal.
“Kami meminta agar Polres Halteng segera melakukan penyelidikan dan penyidikan untuk menjawab peristiwa kematian tersebut. Jika dalam proses penyelidikan ternyata ada peristiwa pidana terjadi, maka segera dilakukan penyidikan dan pelakunya harus segera ditemukan,” tegas Iskandar.
Iskandar menilai, berdasarkan beberapa keterangan yang dia dapatkan, ada kejanggalan yang terjadi pada dugaan korban tewas tergilas oleh kendaraan ada subuh hari.
“Pertanyaanya adalah, kenderaan yang digunakan itu milik siapa. Apakah kenderaan itu milik pribadi ataukah milik perusahaan. Siapa yang mengenderai Kenderaan itu di waktu subuh atau pagi hari tersebut. Kenapa pelakunya harus kabur. Dan aktifitas apakah yang dilakukan dipagi hari itu. Peristiwa ini memang penuh dengan pertanyaan,” tambahnya.
Walaupun demikian, lanjutnya, pasti ada pelaku dibalik peristiwa naas tersebut. Bagi dia, siapapun pelakunya harus diproses secara hukum.
“DPD KNPI Malut menaruh harapan besar dan sangat percaya dengan kinerja Polres Halteng dalam melakukan penyelidikan untuk mengungkapakan misteri peristiwa ini. Karena bagi KNPI, hukum dan keadilan memang harus ditegakkan. Tanpa pandang bulu,” tukasnya.
KNPI juga menekankan bahwa PT IWIP seharusnya memberikan andil bersama mengungkapkan peristiwa tersebut. Karena locus delectinya atau tempat kejadian masih dalam area perusahaan atau masih dalam lokasi kerja. (*)
