PENA – Dugaan penyalahgunaan izin produksi pertambangan PT Sumber Ardi Swarna (SAS) di Kecamatan Loloda, Halmahera Utara, membuat Anggota Komisi III DPRD Maluku Utara (Malut) Sukri Ali, angkat bicara.
Bagi Sukri, izin PT SAS Loloda harus ditinjau kembali oleh Pemprov Malut karena meskipun daerah butuh investasi, pertimbangan kondisi wilayah dan sosilogis juga penting untuk dilihat.
“Jika kehadiran PT SAS hanya menimbulkan kegaduhan dan mudarat di tengah masyarakat, maka tidak perlu berinvestasi,” tegas Sukri, Rabu (26/8) kepada Penamalut.com.
Sukri menambahkan, daerah butuh investasi yanf ramah lingkungan dan berimplikasi pada masyarakat lingkar tambang maupun daerah. Jika PT SAS, tambah Sukri, hanya menimbulkan polemik berkepanjangan serta penolakan dari hampir semua masyarakat lingkar tambang di Loloda, maka izin perusahaan tersebut harus ditinjau kembali.
“Saya berharap izin Amdal tidak sekedar jalan untuk melegitimasi perusahaan yang bersangkutan, tetapi Pemprov harus benar-benar mengkaji secara holistik dan utuh, mempertimbangkan aspek normatif, kultur serta situasi sosiologis masyarakat dulu, baru mengeluarkan izin,” tegasnya lagi.
Kalau seperti yang terjadi di Loloda, tambah Sukri lagi, maka pemerintah terkesan mengejar target pendapatan daerah tanpa peduli terhadap masyarakat lingkar tambang.
“Jadi saya mewakili komisi III DPRD Malut, prinsipnya izin PT SAS harus ditinjau kembali,” tutup Uki, sapaan akrab Sukri Ali.
Sebelumnya, aliansi masyarakat lingkar tambang kecamatan Loloda menggelar aksi di depan kantor Bupati dan DPRD Halmahera Utara, pada Rabu pekan lalu, yang menuntut peninjauan ulang izin operasi PT SAS yang diduga belum jelas. PT SAS merupakan perusahaan tambang yang mengelola pasir besi di kecamatan Loloda. (cun/FN)
