PENA – Pemerhati tambang Maluku Utara, Masgul Abdullah, mengingatkan Pemerintah Kota Tidore Kepulauan agar cermat dan bijaksana dalam memanfaatkan investasi PT. Shana Tova Anugerah.
Tujuannya agar pemerintah daerah dan masyarakat sekitar bisa menikmati dampak positifnya.
Menurutnya, perusahaan yang melakukan kegiatan eksplorasi di Kecamatan Oba Tengah itu diketahui beberapa tahun lalu sempat menghentikan aktivitasnya, namun kini kembali lagi.
“Selama ini Pemkot Tidore belum menunjukan perannya dalam investasi PT. Shana Tova ini, sehingga banyak polemik yang muncul ditengah masyarakat,” kata Masgul, kepada wartawan baru-baru ini.
Pria yang juga pernah bekerja di BUMN tambang ini juga menyarankan beberapa hal untuk dilakukan Pemerintah Kota Tidore, yakni segera merumuskan Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dengan pihak perusahan terkait komitmen penyerapan tenaga kerja dari masyarakat lingkar tambang.
Selai itu, program Coorporate Social Responsibility (CSR) yang berkelanjutan, pelayanan kesehatan, pendidikan dan pengembangan ekonomi, serta komitmen kontribusi pembangunan daerah.
“Kenapa kita bicara MoU dengan PT IWIP yang jauh di sana, di depan mata saja terabaikan. Kalau pemkot cermat dalam menangkap peluang di PT. Shana Tova, maka banyak keuntungan yang akan didapatkan,” ujarnya.
Selain itu, kata dia, hadirnya PT. Shana Tova harus memberikan peluang bagi BUMD yang telah dibentuk pemerintah Kota Tidore untuk bersinergi dengan perusahaan. “Karena kegiatan penambangan itu ada yang kegiatan utama dan kegiatan pendukung, maka ini yang perlu dibicarakan oleh Pemkot,” tukasnya.
Dirinya meminta agar Pemkot Tidore tidak semata-mata mengejar keuntungan dengan hadirnya perusahaan tambang emas, akan tetapi yang harus diperhatikan adalah dampak lingkungan yang ditimbulkan dari aktivitas perusahaan.
Ini perlu mendapat perhatian utama. Masalah lingkungan ini sudah termuat dalam AMDAL, tapi biasanya perusahan lalai dalam pelaksanaannya. “Disini peran SKPD terkait yang harus diperkuat,” tabdasnya.
Sskadar diketahui, PT. Shana Tova Anugerah diketahui memiliki izin seluas 9.063 hektare hingga tahun 2026. DPRD Kota Tidore Kepulauan beberapa waktu lalu sempat meninjau aktivitas PT. Shana Tova di Oba Tengah dan rencananya memanggil pihak perusahaan terkait dengan izin penambangan. (ask)
