PENAMALUT.COM, LABUHA – Mall Saruma atau Saruma Tawn Square yang terletak di Desa Tuwokona, Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan telah diresmikan mantan Bupati Bahrain Kasuba pada April 2021 lalu.
Saruma Tawn Square yang digadang-gadang bakal menjadi pusat perputaran ekonomi di Kota Labuha ini justru tidak terlihat adanya aktivitas. Gedung megah yang dibangun dengan anggaran puluhan miliar ini tak berpenghuni.
Kepala Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan (Disprindag) Halsel, Muhammad Nur mengaku jika Saruma Tawn Square sampai saat ini masih kosong lantaran para investor belum berani berinvestasi.
“Sampai saat ini belum ada aktivitas ap-apa, karena para investor belum berani. Memang ada beberapa investor yang mau buka usaha ataupun berdagang, tapi karena masih sepi, jadi mereka belum ingin berinvestasi,” akunya saat dikonfirmasi wartawan, Minggu (8/8) tadi.
Muhammad pada peresmian beberapa waktu lalu juga mengatakan Mall Saruma ini didalamnya ditata mulai dari Blok A sampai Blok D. Blok A sebanyak 40 lapak yang ditempati pedagang pakaian, Blok B 60 unit lapak campuran sembako maupun elektronik dan pecah belah, Blok C diisi oleh pedagang Barito yang telah disediakan 220 meja, dan Blok D diisi pedagang daging segar yang telah disediakan 142 meja. Setiap blok ini telah dilengkapi masing-masing dua MCK.
Selain itu, ada juga pedagang yang disiapkan tempat di luar bangunan, namun masih dalam satu lokal areal yakni untuk pedagang makanan.
Menanggapi hal ini, Wakil Ketua Komisi I DPRD Halsel, Sagaf Hi. Taha mengatakan, pembangunan Mall Saruma Town Square merupakan pusat perbelanjaan masyarakat Halsel yang dibangun dengan APBD Halsel. Sehingga itu, dirinya meminta agar Kadis Perindag mampu mempromosikan kepada para pedagang dan investor untuk menarik minat berinvestasi di lokasi tersebut.
Ia bilang, Kadis Perindag harus punya strategi untuk mendatangkan para investor. Jangan menunggu investor atau pedagang datang dan ingin berinvestasi.
“Kami di DPRD akan mengawal dan menunggu kepastian kapan fasilatas itu digunakan, sebab Mall Saruma ini adalah bagian dari aset daerah yang sudah dilengkapi dengan segala fasilitasnya. Saya juga minta kepada Bupati agar membuka diri dan mendorong Kadis Perindag agar berupaya mendatangkan investor maupun pedagang, sehingga Mall Saruma ini bisa beroperasi,” pinta Gafo menutup.
