TERNATE, PENAMALUT.COM – Tingkah Bupati Kabupaten Pulau Morotai, Benny Laos, yang memindahkan 60 guru ke Satpol PP, mengundang gelombang protes publik. Kali ini datang dari dosen ekonomi pembangunan Unkhair, Dr Aziz Hasyim.
Menurutnya, langkah mutasi kurang lebih 60 guru tersebut secara tidak langsung mengindikasikan bahwa sensitivitasnya Bupati Benny Loas rendah terhadap upaya mendorong peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Morotai. Sebab, dengan langkah yang diambil itu sudah tentu melahirkan pertanyaan, siapa pengganti tenaga fungsional yang digeser sebanyak itu.
“Guru adalah mereka yang telah dibekali keahlian dan kapasitas mendidik, tidak serta merta dapat diganti dengan tenaga struktural. Perlu diingat pula bahwa guru adalah rahim pendidikan,” tegasnya.
Ketua Dewan Penasehat Komunitas Jarod Maluku Utara itu menegaskan, menggeser guru sebagai tenaga fungsional ke satpol PP tidak dapat diterima secara akal sehat. Jangan hanya karena kewenangan yang dimiliki, lalu tanpa berpikir lebih jauh akan nasib generasi mendatang sebagai pemegang estafet kepemimpinan. Pasalnya, dengan terjadinya krisis guru akan berpotensi terjadinya loss generation. “Oleh karenanya saya menyarankan agar bupati dapat mempertimbangkan kembali keputusan pergeseran puluhan guru dimaksud. Terlebih karena mereka adalah guru pada jenjang dasar dan menengah yang pasti punya pekerjaan berat untuk menciptkan generasi-generasi handal di masa mendatang,” tegasnya mengakhiri. (udi/kov)
