PENAMALUT.COM, JAILOLO – Jumlah angka stunting di Kabupaten Halmahera Barat masih tinggi.
Berdasarkan data dari Dinas Kesehatan Halmahera Barat, angka stunting terhitung dari Januari hingga Juli 2021 terdapat 746 kasus. Jumlah ini tersebar di seluruh Puskesmas di 8 kecamatan di Halbar.
Stunting tertinggi di Halbar disumbang Puskesmas Duono, Kecamatan Tabaru, dengan jumlah 172 kasus. Selanjutnya Puskesmas Sidangoli 161 kasus, Puskesmas Jailolo 106 kasus, Puskesmas Ibu 86 kasus, Puskesmas Kota Jailolo 63 kasus, Puskesmas Baru 38 kasus, Puskesmas Talaga 38 kasus, Puskesmas Sahu 29 kasus, Puskesmas Loloda 22 kasus, Puskesmas Golago 16 kasus, Puskesmas Balisoan 9 kasus, Puskesmas Akelamo 6 kasus, dan Puskesmas Bobaneigo 3 kasus.
Puskesmas Duono, sebelumnya dijabat oleh Novelheins Sakalaty yang telah dilantik sebagai Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Pengendalian Penduduk dan Keluarga Berencana Halbar pada 6 September 2021 lalu.
Sementara itu, Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Pengendalian Penduduk dan Keluarga Berencana Halbar, Novelheins Sakalaty mengatakan, secara teknis pihaknya punya kewajiban melakukan pemeriksaan.
“Kami dapat deteksi secara dini terkait dengan beberapa hal, salah satunya risiko tinggi. Stunting itu berawal dari saat masa kehamilan, idealnya ibu hamil itu memeriksa kandungan 4 kali dalam sebulan,” ujarnya saat dikonfirmasi wartawan, Kamis (21/10).
Ia menyebut kasus stunting ini pertahun selalu ada, dan terus dicatat pihak Dinas Kesehatan. (adi/ask)
